TITLE EXAMINATION and UPSTREAM ADVISEMENT

When it comes to title examination, my goal is to not only provide the most accurate and complete depiction of title, but to provide a service that reduces or eliminates the risk of potential litigation. Clients get opinions that not only provide a rendition of title that accurately reflects the ownership, but will also will withstand judicial scrutiny and include the necessary comments and requirements designed to prevent or reduce title related litigation.

I have experience dealing with the most complex of title examination issues and projects and have completed (or managed to completion) hundreds of title opinions throughout Texas and Arkansas.  I have also worked with other counsel on title projects in multiple jurisdictions including Florida, Kansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Mexico, North Dakota and West Virginia. I have also presented numerous CLE and training presentations (Basics of Texas Homestead Law, Lease Interpretation, Pooling, Efficient and Effective Title Examination, among others).


We handle all title related issues and project, including, but not limited to, the following projects:

  • Extensive experience dealing with the most complex of title, including correcting and updating incorrect or incomplete opinions from prior examiners

We also advise exploration and production companies concerning upstream matters, including acquisition and divestiture of assets, regulatory issues, pooling, conveyance interpretation, oil and gas leases, leasehold interest assignments, drilling agreements, farmout agreements, production sharing agreements.  We are involved with drilling and exploration day-to-day matters including rendering legal advice concerning client lease acquisitions, exploration and production operations, and current or impending litigation.

My litigation practice has included oil and gas litigation, commercial litigation, products and premises liability as well as medical/professional malpractice.

 

In addition, I have contractual relationships with only the most experienced and qualified attorneys so that any size project can be handled while maintaining the highest standard of excellence.
